The 2026 Global Ocean City Food Expo took place at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center in the coastal city of Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province, from March 29th to 31st.
Fujian is well known for its robust marine economy. In recent years, Xiamen has been working to leverage its status as a national-level marine economic development demonstration zone to step up the building of a modern marine industrial system, foster new quality productive forces in the marine economy, promote the transformation of scientific achievements into industrial applications, and constantly expand its marine industry cluster.

This year's expo, running under the banner "Strengthening through the Sea with 'Food Power', Boosting Development with New Quality as the 'Blue Engine'", covered an exhibition area of nearly 20,000 square meters. It attracted over 200 companies to participate and more than 300 buyers from both domestic and international markets.
The expo focused on core sectors such as marine food, functional food, and biotech products. It also featured specialized zones for food processing machinery and packaging materials. It creatively integrated a range of businesses including local specialty foods, time-honored brands in China, high-end beverages, and marine cultural and creative products.
A representative from the Circulation Industry Promotion Center of the Ministry of Commerce said the expo serves as an important platform for ocean cities to showcase new achievements, technologies, and brands in the food industry, as well as acts as an open platform for deepening international trade cooperation and sharing market opportunities.
