Founded in 1987, the Hangzhou Marathon is among China’s most prestigious races—AIMS-recognized since 2007 and a World Athletics Gold Label event. Within eight hours of registration opening this year, over 100,000 people had already signed up.
The 2025 Hangzhou Marathon is set for Sunday, November 2. It features a full marathon, half marathon, and fun run, with a total of 36,000 participants. Entry is allocated by random lottery; submitting earlier does not increase your chances. Lottery results will be announced in mid-September.

At 3:00 pm on August 26, registration officially went live. The first runner completed registration in just 34 seconds. Within 30 minutes, entries exceeded 20,000; after 52 minutes, the number jumped to 36,000—the event’s total field size. By 10:00 pm, total registrations had surged past 100,000. As of 1:27 pm yesterday (August 27), entries reached 125,586, with runners from 40 countries and regions. Are you ready to be counted among the registered?

The registration portal remains open until 5:00 pm on September 1.

Runners can sign up via the official Hangzhou Marathon website (https://hm.zhetiyu.cn), the event’s WeChat public account (杭州马拉松), and the “浙体育” WeChat mini program.
