Despite the arrival of autumn, residual summer heat persists. With the weekend approaching, cooling destinations remain highly popular. Meanwhile, scenic areas have introduced new cool-down measures, providing residents and tourists with refreshing ways to enjoy their day in heat.

Heat-Relief Supplies for Visitors

Jinjiang River Night Cruise

“An increasing number of visitors are choosing night cruises”. The field manager of the Jinjiang River Night Cruise program pointed at the sunshades in the waiting area, mentioning that cooling patches, medicated oil, and other heat-relief supplies have been provided for visitors, and free drinking water stations have been equipped with disposable cups for their convenience.

A Wide Range of Cooling Activities

Chengdu Polar Ocean Park

Water-splashing activities are held here every day, where visitors can dive into the water to cool themselves down. Each afternoon, the ocean park places ten large blocks of ice into the water park, offering visitors a more enjoyable ice-cold experience. Additionally, the weekend ice-chopping challenges have become a major attraction, engaging both adults and children in refreshing entertainment.

Chengdu Sunac Water Park

At Chengdu Sunac Water Park, the cheers from visitors participating in the water tug-of-war game overpower the sound of the waves, with laughter and excitement filling the atmosphere. Until the end of August, the park’s full-day  ticket includes access to evening sessions, allowing visitors to enjoy extended hours until 22:00.

Xiling Snow Mountain

The scenic area has recently introduced the flyboarding program, where professional instructors perform aerial flips while soaring three meters above the water with the help of high-pressure water jets. “Participants who have tried the beginner’s session described the sensation as feeling like touching the clouds,” an instructor said.

marks TWG 2025 Chengdu’s fist gold medal day.

According to the competition schedule,

23 gold medals will be awarded today.

At the Final (started at 09:40 am) of

Middle- Distance-Men, Foot Orienteering,

the first gold medal of the TWG 2025 Chengdu was awarded.

Swiss athlete Riccardo Rancan

took the gold with a winning time of 45 minutes and 22 seconds.
