The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Nanjing Technology and Innovation Research Institute (PolyU-NJRI)

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Nanjing Technology and Innovation Research Institute (PolyU-NJRI) was established in July 2024 in Gulou District, Nanjing.

PolyU-NJRI is a joint initiative between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Nanjing Gulou District People’s Government. The institute serves as a dynamic platform for academic exchanges, joint talent training, and technology transfer. Structured around four specialized research centers—the Intelligent Robotics and Mechatronics Research Center, Artificial Intelligence of Things Innovation Research Center, Visual Health Innovation Research Center, and Intelligent Construction Research Center—PolyU-NJRI bridges PolyU’s global research excellence with Nanjing’s industrial strengths. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among academia, industry, and government, the institute accelerates technological commercialization and supports the city’s vision as a hub for emerging industries.
