The non-profit organization, Japan-China Industrial-Academic Exchange Promotion Council was established in September 2009, with its president KIN SHOTO. The council focus on organizing relevant technology seminars and project meetings in the fields of science and technology, education, culture，economy, etc, and organizes various promotional activities, inspection internships and study abroad, as well as competitions for talent and technology projects. The council also provides long-term support for industrial, academic, and technological exchanges between China and Japan with practical support services for the co-operation of high-tech industrialization. The resources accumulated by Japan-China Industrial-Academic Exchange Promotion Council in the direction of government, industries, academies provide strong support for the development of exchange and cooperation between China and Japan.
To implement the development strategy of "make Nanjing global innovation city" ,the Japan-China Industrial-Academic Exchange Promotion Council was authorized as Japan center of Nanjing Overseas Collaborative Innovation Centers Platform in January 2019.
Focusing on industries such as artificial intelligence, new generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, health technology and education in Nanjing city and Qinhuai District, the Japan Center has hosted 8 Nanjing delegations, introduced 10 Japanese expert level talents, conducted 345 bilateral activities, and signed 65 contracts after five years of operation.
