Recently,Chengdu’s multiple international airline routes will see increased flight frequency,further enhancingthe connectivity of Chengdu as an international aviation hub.

Starting March 15, China Eastern Airlines will initiate a direct round-trip service between Chengdu and Osaka, Japan, operating four flights weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
From March 21, Air China will reinstate its direct flight between Chengdu and Tokyo, Japan, operating three flights weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Currently, Sichuan Airlines operates two routes, providing direct flights from Chengdu to both Tokyo and Osaka on a daily basis. With Air China and Sichuan Airlines operating new direct flights to Japan, Chengdu will see up to two direct flights to Tokyo and Osaka in a day and a weekly increase of seven direct flights to Japan, thereby facilitating more efficient and convenient exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, and other interactions between Chengdu and Japan.
Beginning March 31, direct flights between Chengdu and Seoul will become more accessible as Asiana Airlines will resume its round-trip flight between Chengdu and Seoul, operating flights on a daily basis. This will bring the total number of airlines operating the route to three—Air China, Sichuan Airlines, and Asiana Airlines—with up to four daily direct flights in each direction.
Commencing on May 1, Sichuan Airlines will increase the frequency of its direct flights between Chengdu and Dubai from five flights per week to a daily service. Tickets for additional flights are currently available for pre-sale, with the lowest economy class fare, inclusive of taxes, starting at approximately RMB 1,900 for a one-way journey.
A key highlight is the introduction of a new intercontinental passenger route on April 27, when Sichuan Airlines will launch a direct round-trip route from Chengdu to Madrid, operating four flights weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Passengers departing from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport will reach Madrid-Barajas Airport in 13 hours and 10 minutes.
