Spring comes and the world comes to life. Starting on March 8, Chengdu Public Transport has launched six special bus lines offering more convenience for local residents to appreciate the beauty of spring. Here’s the relevant information of the new bus lines for your reference.
The Tianfu Guantang Canola Flower Festival is held at the New Guantang Village in southern Chengdu till the end of March. In addition to enjoying the flower seas, visitors can explore exhibitions showcasing Sichuan Brocade and Yingjing earthenware, participate in handicrafts DIY sessions such as making aromatic sachets and lacquered folding fans, and coffee party and bazaars throughout the period of the event.

The Multi-colored Canola flowers blooming across an over 6.66-hectare field showcases the city’s best flower appreciation sight that reminds people of the paintings by Claude Monet.

Line 3
Manhua Manor, located in the northern outskirt of urban Chengdu, presents grand visual and audio feast from the end of February to the end of March, celebrating the blooming season of cherry flowers across 26.67 hectares in the park. Visitors can take photos at the traditional Chinese courtyard and cherry blossom-themed train station, as well as enjoy Hanfu shows, Flowery Season music performances and Iron Flower Show.

Line 4
The Cherry Blossoms Appreciation Season is held in March to April at the Phoenix Lake Scenic Spot in Qingbaijiang District in northeastern Chengdu. The scenic spot boasts over 16000 cherry trees of dozens of species, with a variety of events such as Cheongsam Shows, Hanfu parades, China Cup International Orienteering Circuit and Deep-water Surfing Shows.

The scenic spot is loved by local residents as a natural oxygen bar and an agreeable environment for family fun activities such as cycling, angling, bird watching and camping in spring.

As the first national-level urban wetland park in Chengdu, Bailuwan Wetland Park boasts a large afforested area of over 16 hectares with lush vegetation. A large number of ginkgo trees and, fir trees are planted in the park, which also has several theme gardens such as the Peach Blossom Garden and the Rose Garden, as well as numerous attractions within its territory, making the park a favorable environment for outdoor activities in spring.
