On June 19th, the Nanjing Science and Technology Bureau, in collaboration with Nanjing Xin Gang High-tech Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as Xin Gang High-tech Park), held the "2025 Nanjing international Talents Supply-Demand Matchmaking Serial Activities: Foreign Talents at Xin Gang". Nearly 50 foreign talents from 27 countries and regions visited Xin Gang High-tech Park, where they inspected the enterprises in the park on the spot and had exchanges with many biomedicine and artificial intelligence enterprises within the park.
Xin Gang High-tech Park is home to many Fortune 500 companies such as BSH Home Appliances and LG, as well as leading enterprises in the industrial chain with strong development momentum and a strong demand for international innovation, such as Nuoweizan, Tianjia Environment and Taipusen. Foreign talents holding work permits in China account for one fifth of the total number in the city. In 2021, under the guidance of the Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Experts Bureau, the Nanjing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, in conjunction with Xingang High-tech Park, established the first foreign student internship (practice) workstation in Jiangsu Province. Over the past four years, the workstation has successively attracted 35 enterprises to enter the station and held 17 various resource matching activities for overseas talents. To better establish a long-term mechanism for the practical training of foreign talents, starting from this year, the park has officially launched the construction of enterprise branches of the "Foreign Students' Internship (Practice) Workstation". At the event site, five enterprises including Nanjing Novozyme Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Kaqiu (Jiangsu) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. established enterprise branches of the foreign student internship (practice) workstations. Representatives of talents from 10 enterprises including Nanjing Beiyang Technology Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications Information Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. have been appointed as "Strategic Talent Recruiters" of Xin Gang High-tech Park, fully releasing the chain effect of "attracting talents with talents and gathering talents with talents".
At the event, companies such as Vazyme and Kaqiu Biotech made on-site presentations, released their key job requirements, and extended "olive branches" to the foreign talents present. A total of 41 enterprises released 185 international positions at this event, covering positions such as R&D scientists, AI algorithm engineers, and cross-border BD managers. Foreign talents present interacted and exchanged views with the enterprise leaders on the positions they were interested in, and the atmosphere on the spot was very lively. Dr. Marg, a Syrian from the School of Public Health of Nanjing Medical University, hopes to stay and work in China after graduation. "I have seen many excellent enterprises here and hope to get employment opportunities." Haniya, an Egyptian student from the Clinical College, has been studying in Nanjing for six years and has settled down there. She has sent her resume to several companies she likes, hoping to win their favor. Lu Ping, the founder of Kaqiu (Jiangsu) Biotechnology Co., LTD., stated that Nanjing has introduced a series of policies and convenient measures to encourage employers to introduce and utilize foreign talents, simplifying the talent recruitment process and reducing labor costs. This also provides more powerful support for enterprises to attract leading talents with interdisciplinary capabilities and an international perspective.
