About Company:

AE Sports is an English tennis academy based in Shenzhen, China. Our goal is to use coaching methods that deliver a successful tennis and English learning environment.

AE Sports is the first Open Award Center of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award in China.

Shenzhen is located the South of China, just above Hong Kong. The city is renown as a Tier 1 city, along with Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and is currently one of the 10 fastest growing cities in the world. The city boasts a modern and affordable metro system, and is now located 15 minutes from Hong Kong by High Speed Train.

You would be joining a team of 16 people, all of who make AE Tennis click. The three managers all studied at foreign universities (2 of them at Loughborough), and therefore speak foreign English. There are currently 2 British coaches, both of whom are LTA/ USPTR qualified and have degrees from universities in the UK. They work alongside bilingual local coaches who help them to deliver sessions.

We hire courts in a number of high quality external venues, one of these being The Hilton Hotel, and two of these in Shenzhen Hongshuwan area, one of the most developed and affluent areas in Shenzhen.We also cooperated with 4 International schools in Shenzhen City center, we provide sports lessons at schools.

Coaches have the opportunity to play at our private tennis club, Shenzhen Returness Club. This club is made up of Chinese players who have worked and/or studied abroad and have since returned to China.

Responsibilities:

Job Description:
We are looking to hire 2 coaches to help run our range of programmes at our tennis academy. The role will involve a combination of tennis coaching, English teaching, and office work.
Tennis coaching:
•25 hours of coaching a week
•Individual and group coaching
•Mini tennis, cardio tennis and schools tennis
•Help run and organize competitions
•Run promotional events at schools and new bases
English Teaching:
•5 hours of English/sports teaching a week
•60 hour TEFL certificate to be completed by the end of the first month which is paid for by the company

Office Work:
•Assisting the coach manager with office work
•Write reports for all students
•Get stuck into exciting projects such as helping to set up partnerships in UK/China and organizing Summer Camps in the UK.
The role is ideal for someone who is looking to develop as a coach, or for someone who wants to pursue a career in the sports industry and is looking to gain experience in a variety of different tasks.


Qualifications:

Person Specification
Candidates will need to have the following qualifications and experience:
•Minimum LTA Level 2 above
•Experience in delivering mini tennis from ages 4-10
•Experience in delivering group lessons
•Experience in delivering individual lessons is an advantage
•DBS certificate/ no criminal record
