Job fairs are considered by many people to be a very valuable tool in searching for a job. Other people think they are a waste of time. held its first Job Fair in November 2004. It was a daring and innovative experience because nobody had ever held a job fair for a small, rather specialized job-seeking audience – like foreign teachers searching for jobs in China.
The first job far attracted about 20 schools and universities and about 30 job seekers. It was not an outstanding success, but it was enough for to continue the experiment of holding a Foreign Teachers Job Fair in Beijing.
The second job fair in April 2005, 35 schools attended and over 250 teachers attended looking for jobs. Several contracts were signed on the spot and all those who attended collected lots of name cards, brochures and email addresses. Everybody considered the second job fair an "almost success".
In November 2005, the third job fair was attended by over 60 universities, schools, training institutes and private companies. Total attendance was over 400 teachers. The Job Fair for Foreign Teachers was termed a complete success by many newspapers, magazines and CCTV articles.
The next Job Fair will be held in Beijing on April 22, 2006, invites all foreign teachers and professional workers to attend the next Job Fair in Beijing in April and use the successful job fair venue to find a new and exciting position in China.
